SALON SPOTLIGHT · UPDATED 22 OCTOBER 2026
Social media ideas for salons: a seven-post plan
Show your work, answer booking questions and help people choose their next appointment. Use these seven ideas across a week or spread them over a longer period.
This is a fictional example plan for a hair salon, not a customer case study. Adapt it to the services you actually provide. Replace placeholders and use only genuine reviews.

POST 6
A genuine client review
Photo or video: Use an approved review alongside a relevant image.

POST 7
How to book
Photo or video: Use a clear photo of the salon or a simple booking walkthrough.

A quick check before publishing
- Get permission before sharing identifiable client photos or personal stories.
- Keep before and after lighting consistent. Avoid edits that misrepresent results.
- Check prices, service names, booking links and availability.
- Use music you have permission to use for your business content.
- Add readable captions to spoken clips. Keep essential information in the written caption too.
Measure bookings, not just likes
Record which posts led to service questions, consultation requests or bookings. Ask new clients how they found you. Compare a few weeks of similar posts before changing your entire approach.
If a post gets attention but no bookings, check whether the service, location and booking route are clear. If lots of people ask the same question, make that your next helpful post.
